Ok my son wants to ask his girlfriend to go to Homecoming, but he wants to do it in a way that he can surprise her. He mentioned that a friend of his bought a cookie cake and asked his girlfriend with the writing on the cake that read "Will you go to Homecoming with me?". So he wants to ask her in a way she'll remember. But keep in mind he has a small budget. He still has to buy a homecoming mum, tickets to the game, tickets to the dance...etc, etc, etc. or cha-ching! I know there are lots of people out there with cute ideas for a highschool boy.

Best answer get's...well...you know...10 points.

Thanks a bunch.

He's only 15 1/2 - so he doesn't quite drive yet. I mean he does, but only with a parent.

He can make a homevideo with a webcam/digi cam [or if you don't have it borrow from friend] and upload it in youtube.com or veoh.com to show all over the web. The scene will be like your son having everything ready for the homecoming thing [tickets, tux, flowers, etc] but no date. And add a decent little comical twist in the end say "[name of girl] I love you very much, I'm ready and I better see you at homecoming holding my arms, or I'll have to go with my boyfriends [his friends lol]" or something of that nature.

Be creative, recite a poem, sing a song, profess your love for her or something <3

Don't forget to give the girl the html address of the video so she can watch it. lol. That's the whole point of the video.

Well yeah. that's it. It's cheap, but it sounds romantic <33 and you can watch it over and over again on the web.

Timeless AND Priceless =P

***EDIT***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or he can make a poster asking her to go to homecoming with him. Yeah. Make a poster and then pin it in her locker. And if he has her locker combo, maybe put a little gift/flowers asking her to go to homecoming with him. It'd be nice if you can document it too. <33

Is he 16 or older and can drive? Does she? If so, buy a cheap bouquet of flowers and drive them over to her house the night before school. In the morning she will go outside and find them on her windshield with the note. It is so sweet and quite a surprise.

What about some type of scavenger hunt. Put together clues that would send her all over her town, maybe to spots they've shared together. That way he's really only spending his time and not money.
