There are three possible spellings:

Mexico D.F. (Distrito Federal)
Ciudad de Méjico
Ciudad de México

*The first one is the official name, the second one literally says "the city of Mexico," and the last one says "the city of Mexico" with the signature Mexican 'x' instead of the 'j' or 'g' that is pronounce like an aspirated 'h'.

In Mexico it is called "La ciudad" (The City, literally)
More formally, it's Distrito federal.
BTW, a person or thing from Mexico City is
called "un chilango".
