abandon the rule of law and accede to Mexico's inherent supremacy .In his state of the union address to the Mexican nation, Calderon said that Mexico does not stop at its border, that wherever there is a Mexican, there is Mexico.

What are your feelings on this statement?

Calderon's` statement is flawed in the fact that when he said that, "Wherever there is a Mexican , there is Mexico" ; he left off a very important fact . That fact is that he left off what he really meant to say was " Wherever there is a Mexican ("Legal or Illegal", ) there is Mexico !!! He has a huge falsely inflated ego by making statements like this. Being the leader of a country that millions of his citizens feel the need to leave the country he is the leader of by any means necessary , certainly doesn`t say much for anything he says` to have any credibility ! Calderon should practice what he preaches , and accept the fact that Central Americans that come into Mexico "Legally or Illegally" represent their countries right to say " Wherever there are Central Americans , there is Central America." However , all Central Americans that are caught in Mexico ILLEGALLY , are either put in prison or deported !! Calderon is glad to get rid of his unproductive , criminal , and uneducated citizens ; and dump them and their problems on another country ! What a great leader Calderon is ?? NOT !!

I wasn't aware that he actually made that statement. Did Calderon actually say "I demand that the United States surrender it's sovereignity!" in his address? Do you have a link? If this is so, I cannot express my feelings openly about that here. In my opinion, that would make Caulderon a national security threat.

Thanks for the link!! I don't even know what to say right now!! At this moment I feel every single illegal in this country should be deported immediately and we should lock those borders up and sever all ties with mexico. Revamp our immigration laws to be known as the most strict and highly enforced. That is a very serious statement to make...I cannot even believe it...again, thank you for the link.

Why not take advantage of the archaic laws that were made for the melting pot of Eilis island? I understand that mexico is a defeated corrupt country. so who cares if the mexican president dances naked on top of a prison, playing a ukulele, saying "i'm going to bit your nipples off, hilary clinton!" while teaching an ostrich how to use a toilet ? we know that he's justa figure head. that's why they are coming over. the illegal people feel empowered because they are becoming "americanized" they are finding a new reason to have pride-even if it's wrong, because in their country, they couldn't express themselves like they can here, or have the opportunity to (for great majority) to work for nothing that's taxed, and drive our educational system to a grinding slothness that will take years to make better. and all of the other stinking problems. they are hurting themselves in the long run though....just a little analyzation will tell you that. those babies are innocent- and have no idea why or for what reason they were brought into this world- so lets show them the right way of doing thing, and get past all this intercontental crap -and work on space travel, and colonizing new planets- and a better fuel sources- instead of dead plants and animals. instead of focusing on religion. or whatever your personal hang up is... (wow way off the deep end,eh?)

It enraged me when I first read it on Lou Dobbs website, after a while I began to consider the possibility of mistranslation, the portion regarding "Mexico not stopping at the boarder" and "anywhere there are Mexicans is Mexico" is horrible offensive if regarding America, if however it was regarding the Korean hostages intending to reassure Mexican citizens that it could not happen to them...then I am afraid it would have been taken out of context.

I can't comment on whether he actually made the statement about the US surrendering our sovereignty, but I saw enough to know that he may have well as said it! The link Nightwolf gave tells the gist of it, and to make matters worse, it shows some ***** priest throwing in HIS two cents as if ANYONE should give two flying figs what the Catholic church or any other religious group has to say, if the only thing they can do is interfere with the laws of the land. And then they show this female "victim" (whatever her name is) saying how this idiot Calderon wants to make her some ambassador to the US for immigrants!? THEY ARE NOT IMMIGRANTS and THEY ARE NOT UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS! THEY ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS! Why do THEY get to inflame us with this news and information, but then we have to sit and hold our breath to see if our government has the balls to stand up for our LAWS and put people like Calderon in their place? It's INSANE! p.s. Those are my thoughts.

BULLSH*T!!!!
Wherever there is a Mexican there is a Mexican, if he is not in Mexico, he is a Mexican in the wrong country.
Wherever there is an American with Mexican ethnic roots there is an American with Mexican ethnic roots.
Wherever there is a Mexican illegal, there is a problem.
Calderon has made this statement, the Mexican Government has stated before that the border does extend and will always extend beyond the actual border.
They are pushing and preaching a policy of Mexican supremacy, and the right to take what is ours.
Our Government will not stop it, encourages it, and is attempting to facilitate it with the NAU plan.
My feelings are that the United States Citizens need to take back their country from the illegals and a corrupt Government by any means necessary.
Then after that is settled, inform Calderon that any interference with our laws or Government will be considered as an act by an enemy to destabilize a Sovereign Nation, and be treated as an act of war.
Statements like this are bringing this issue to the point where it is o loger an illegal issue.
They are basically demanding that we accept their entire nation as having the right to do anything they want to our country and people.
His statement is the type of statement you expect from a racist who is attempting to stir his people to feel that hostility is justified and a right.
I for one am for war, with or with out our farce of a Governments approval.

EDIT: Packinrat, you are so right, they Mexicans
They should stay in Mexico. If they are here legally and plan to go home then his statement is no different than ours.
If they are illegal and he is encouraging them, then he needs to be judged by us as we are the ones he is inciting against.
As the hot-button topic is what right they have to be here, that is the context I will examine his statement by.
To quote from Dr. Jose Angel Gueterriz Co-founder of La Raza Unida Party," "It's too late for the Gringo to make amends. Violence has got to come."

I now say, " It's too late for the Mexicans to make amends. Violence has got to come."

Mexico is a mess after the Fox regime. Calderon is simply "playing to the crowd", the ignorant masses of Mexicans.

Our President should respond but won't, he's incompetent.

That jerk Calderon can say all he wants, but WE are the bosses here, not the Mexicans. They are quite a bit pushy and not versed at all in PR. They are causing animosity as well as our elected officials by not sending them back home.

LOL.... An absolute crock. Perhaps if we offered them more aid and would take another 20 million of mexicans here, he will back off.... Ridiculous. Was he laughing when he made those statements?
