...because they already put their toppings away. And it was a whole HOUR before the shop closes! The same ice cream shop did this to me two times. Can I sue them? Like I know I CAN but like should I? Cause I want to.

Oh yeah, and I can't exactly sue them cause I'm not 18, just so ya know. Just someone else could, because they did it once to my dad too.

Why not talk to the manager and find out why they do this? I would imagine that it's probably high school kids running the place in the evening and they probably want to get home.

Sara,
I don't think suing is the answer.....But I wouldn't go back there!! You should speak with the manager or owner, If they are aware of this going on then I would report them to the better business bureau and the local Chamber of Commerce!!

No business wants marks against them with the BBB or the Chamber!! Then I would write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper telling the masses of the horrible customer service!! That will hurt them!! But first try contacting the higher ups in the store, they might not have any idea whats going on!!

When you own a business you put your trust in the people you hire to take care of the shop while you are not there!!

Don't sue them, it probably will not be worth it in the end. Avoid the shop and take your business elsewhere. If they are really that amazing then go more than an hour before it closes. If you do want to do something about it try talking to a manager there or write a letter.

wow thats really bad that they do that... heres what u should do .. never go there again go somewhere else and give them your business.. tell all your friends not to go there either and they will loose business. I think that is really bad thing to do to a paying customer... just because they want to close up early.. OR if u want to its a good idea to write a letter to the manager.. and complain that you a good customer that frequents there ice cream shop and that your unhappy that you can never order what you want. If you complain and tell them this is not a good way to run there business and that you and your friends are going to stop visiting there store... the manager will probally fix the problem and yell at the employees.. and they will probally send u free coupons for ice cream since you brought it to there attention...

I work at an Ice cream shop and our specialty sundaes are our best sellers. If we tried to do that to a customer our owner would throw a fit. You should definitely put in a complaint with either the owner or the corporate headquarters of that company.

I wouldn't sue them...I would not go there anymore and choose somewhere else to get your ice cream...and spread the word to everyone you know or come into contact with about there poor service...maybe they will change there attitude when they loose customers! Oh yeah...and I would also call the customer service number and file a complaint.

No, you can't sue. It would cost more to sue than the ice cream sundae.

First, call the manager (during the day) and explain the situation. If he or she doesn't try to make it right, then tell your friends and family to not go back.

Hit 'em where it hurts... the wallet.

Sarah, I'd say NEVER go to that place again! That's the way to get them back! Don't go there anymore. And if you want to register a complaint with that company, that is a good thing to do - get their customer service number and call them up and tell their main office that the company is not being operated very well.

No, you cannot sue. Call the Chamber of Commerce and find out if they know the owner's name and either call or write a letter of complaint. If the owner is unaware of the lost revenue, he/she will be upset with the employees. If the owner does not care, then no one else will either.

I'd go to the head manager and find out who owns the store.
then write a letter to the store owner stating your understanding of the hours of operation to the store. explain what happened to you and then ask is the store ready to do business when it opens and is it his policy to maintain business during his hours of operation. then ask him why his employees start closing the store before the closing time when you would expect the business to be in full operation during its posted operating hours. i have done this myself and have seen changes in the way people do business
