For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds.
Matthew 16

24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever would save his life shall lose it: and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake shall find it

Absolutely nothing. The worldly things can be fun... but there is more to happiness than that. There is God and the Heavenly Kingdom.

A man would not profit at all if he looses his soul by gaining the world. A soul is more precious. Jesus said no man can come to the Father except through and by him. I know I want my soul to be in the care of Jesus. He said I will never leave you nor forsake you. That is a true friend that would do that. When I come to the end of my road I want Jesus to be there he said he would go with us even to the end of the world Praise his holy name. God bless

No one ever gains or owns anything in this world .Eveyone is really owned by this earth .Fools think that they own everything they have .forgetting the fact that it is the earth he stands on will have the last laugh!.Even the name one has while alive is not his own.He should forget his name , address , parents , children , friends and relatives , all that he learnt including the degrees and diplomas and even the god if he were to qualify himself to go. As he came , so he goes.We come with a balnk slate and go with a blank slate .
We earn nothijg and so ther eis no question of any profit .since own nothing , the question of forfeiting one's life also does not arise .Life never dies. Death is just a disintegration of the elements constituting the body and the atoms of he elements do not die at all.As they disintegrate , the fucntion they did together as one piece ceases .It is just like the mechanism of a clock dismanteled .When they were fixed and put in a specific order, they functioned as a clsock. When the parts of the mechanism are dismantled , they ceased to function as a clock.. No gain and no loss.

You are misquoting the Word.
"For what shall it profit a man
if he should gain the whole
world, and lose his own SOUL."
I didn't read the rest because
you are obviously quoting out
of some new interpretation
that leaves out the important
stuff.

He wins the whole freaking world! King of the freaking world! That's what he wins! I'd sell my supposed "soul" to rule the world in a heart beat.

Well for openers he'd be able to pick up the tab for lunch at a really swanky uptown restaurant. I'd order the Tuscan salmon, and what the hell I'll have poached pears for dessert, Mmmmmm!

I love scripture but anyone can just copy. Show how it applies. Better make a question out of it too or someone will flag it.

world is not meant for gaining. when that feeling enters the mind, that is the beginning of end of a person. this world is for co-habitation, not only of human beings but also of all living beings. if this is carried in one's mind, other wisdom follows.

You've done a bang-up job quoting scripture.
Is there a question that you have here?
