I just started going to a catholic church, I am a 20 year long spirit filled evangelical. Heavily educated in the bible, used to read it 3-4 times a year.
I go to a spirit filled catholic church. I have never heard a hail mary in mass, although I understand the rosary is read on seperate occasions.
A lot of what is in the catholic faith is absolutly biblical and if ou want to cite the misconceptions I will try to clear them up for you.

The bible isint God not is it the only rule of faith, in needs to be interpreted in light of church history otherwise you end up with 35,000 protestant denominations.
The mass is the most beautiful experience God gave man. Jesus is not sacrificed again, you have been misinformed.

Kitz, I feel sorry for you. You have a belief founded on mans interpretation of a book that Catholics gave to you.
You are full of hate and vile and have no fruit of the spirit in your life. Jesus loves you and wants to be part of your life but your blind faith to you pastor or church denies you the turth.
Unless you drink my blood and eat my flesh you have no part in me.
And I doubt you have ever been to church, maybe a feelgood happy clappy, meet all your worldly needs type of place but certainly not the church of paul, or peter or john or Christ himself.

I would say people like you would be close to the top of the list.
First, what does it matter if the catholic church is "biblical"? They put the church and the pope above the Bible in matters of doctrine. That's not a misconception, that's a fact.
Have you listened to the mass? Have you heard how they call down the body of Christ to be sacrificed AGAIN each time the mass is performed? Have you read Hebrews, where it says Christ died once for all and there's no need to call him down to be sacrificed over and over again?
Have you checked out the definition of "saint" in the catholic church? That must not be one of the things that's on your list of "biblical" things about the catholic church.
There's very little about the catholic church that is biblical, other than borrowing some of the terminology.

Not all of them are as you describe. But if you are growing spiritually, then what's your beef with Protestants who may disagree? You are responsible for your spiritual walk just as they are for theirs. There doesn't have to be a one size fits all. The only problem would come when the focus is not on Jesus and what he meant to us. The entire NT is about that so we should also continue in the doctrine that was established from that time. I think there are plenty of warnings about false doctrine and admonitions to follow the true doctrine of Christ.
2 Peter 2:
1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

Wrong.Who gets the job of interpreting if the Bible doesn't speak for itself? Why believe it if it has errors? We are talking about eternity of the soul with this decision.Putting one's faith in a fallible man or religion is a dangerous endeavor. And it goes far deeper than praying to Mary or so-called "saints".The doctrine and dogma of Catholicism has nothing to do with the Bible except for lip service to Jesus and a homily or liturgy from it.All the rest is occult to the core. The spirit that fills your church is a demonic one.I've answered a couple of your questions last night and you are not educated in the Bible. That much is painfully clear. The main problem with Catholics when confronted with error is that they deny their own doctrines.[Doesn't mean that to me or I don't believe that one]Anyone that truly learns what that false religion teaches would either flee from it or accept it by siding with the Adversary.I know your doctrine.Current doctrine.I don't need to bring up past heresies to prove it[though plenty exist].

I grew up indoctrinated in the Roman Catholic Church. In those days it was in latin, a dead language. There was a great deal of kneeling, standing, kneeling, beating your breast, and genuflecting. Protestants simply found this behavior questionable.
In addition, most Prostestants did not like the fact that Catholics were led by the Pope. They felt that Catholics were loyal to the Pope before country and that make Catholics suspect.
Glad you found happiness in the Catholic Church.
I love Jesus, just not his fan club.

I don't like to be the nasty one, but any person convicted to follow a faith, must learn it's true origins. Have you?
If you have and are cool with it, then "Praise On". If this new place trully fulfills and completes you, then don't worry about what anybody else says.

Absolutely. I could prove to you that Jesus told everyone to abandon their family and that rape and incest are acceptable if I used that book too.
