I worked for the past two years for a single company and made $40,000 per year, then changed jobs in June 2007, to go into sales. I am soon to be laid off due to poor sales performance, after 4 months on this new job. Somewhat of a chop shop. They paid a base salary of 40k as well.
Will I be eligable for unemployement insurance if I only worked there less than four full months--yet I have worked for the last two and a half years on a salary position with two companies with no breaks.

thanks

Yes, your previous employment will be taken into account, so you will be able to get unemployment comp even though you only worked at your latest job for four months.

Good luck on your job hunt.

Yes. You will get unemployment payments based on the amount you have paid into the system over the previous comple of years or so. You can file on line and see, but you need to be unemployed before you can file.....
