ok So I was going out with this guy and I called it quits about 3mths ago. He kept text messaging me and sometimes I'd respond but not really. Well I started hanging out with this guy about a 2 mths ago and I really like him but I wasn't sure where we stood. anyway this past weekend my ex found out that I was dating this one guy and threw a big fit about it and I kept telling him that we're not together and it was none of his business. Well the reason he was mad was because this guy is one of his good friends, but I didn't know and I never saw them together or even mention him before. Well he threatened to tell his so call friend that I have been talking to both of them and I didn't know what to do. So I just told both of them to leave me alone and not call me anymore. But the problem is that I like this guy. the new guy...Should I call and tell him what is going on but then I don't want to be the cause of anything with them either. Do you think he'll believe me or his friend? help!

Your new boyfriend was only two months old and while there was a good chance he may have believed your ex, then you would have discovered just how deep his feelings for you were.Instead you acted without thinking of the consequences.I think you should call the new guy, tell him the whole story(the whole truth),explain why you acted the way you did(their friendship),and finally let him know your feelings.Don't plead with him though.Whatever happens to their friendship would be the fault and responsibility of your ex; who set everything in motion, and not you, who is simply explaining the facts.I hope things work out to your advantage..

well it sounds like your ex is pretty jealous, and the new guy probably knows him just as well as you. and if you weren't messing around with both of them at the same time im sure the new guy will believe you, if you explain it to him.
i don't see why you shouldn't tell the new guy. You can't let your ex affect your future dating. So I really believe you should talk to the new guy, and atleast try to keep what you have with him. I think he will understand because he knows the other guy just as well and maybe he knows how he is from first hand experience..
