Tony and other drivers have said that the reason they don't run the Indy 500 is because of the scheduling of that and the Coca Cola 600. There's just no time for them to finish at Indy and then make it to Charlotte before the next race starts. As far as would Toyota allow him to race it? I'm sure they would if there wasn't a conflict.

it is not a practicable selection anymore because of the fact the commencing up of the Indy 500 replaced into bumped decrease back to a million pm EST. guy it would be super to be sure greater drivers compete interior the double, adult adult males like Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman may be relaxing to observe and make the Indy 500 a respected experience returned! i don't understand if i ought to omit the Indy 500 if celebrity drivers have been in it...the Indy 500 could desire to be moved to Monday in the different case the Coca-Cola six hundred moved to Monday so as that drivers ought to compete.

Apart from the logistical impossibility of being able to start both races, and Indycars being Honda powered, I seriously doubt Stewart could fit in the cockpit of an Indy car anymore. He has put on a little weight over the last few years.

The last Indy 500 race, there was a rain delay, and by the time the race was finished, the 600 had already started.

Time just will not allow it anymore.

Rating placed the race later in the day.

toyota has no say so in the matter, it's joe gibbs that stewart has to answer to. but he won't run the indy 500 since they started running it an hour klater, at 1PM eastern time instead of noon. so logistically, he would not have time to make it from indy to charlotte on time for the start of the coke 600

OK, to all you who think that the manufacturer can't stop Tony from running in other races in other makes.

YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was in his personal services contract with GM that he was not able to run in another major motorsports league without first getting permission from GM. GM has prevented him multiple times from running in other races, especially other makes.

Please! He has not wanted to do it any more. If you have noticed (or paid attention) he has not done it the past two years. He stated that it is not worth the risk of missing the start of the 600. But if he wanted to they do not have the ability to deny him!
