Well, I have had both experiences. Currently, I love my job, and feel that I have finally found a place that I will stay for the next 20 years. As a matter of fact, I probably will never retire..
However, I got this job from past experience. And, some of the jobs I worked, I was so stressed, so overworked that I was working 70 hours a week and was sick all the time from lack of sleep, and an awful diet of ramen noodles at my desk.
My current boss is a friend of one of my coworkers who remembers my work ethic...The only reason I was hired...Otherwise, they could have easily found someone much more experienced...
So, you really have to put the "is it worth it" into a long term perspective...

NO and yes. I capitalized the no on purpose because i do strongly believe that you should not risk your health over money, that's not to say quiet your job, after all you do have to make a living. It all depends on your definition of mentally or/and physically sick. If you mean that you're sick of going to work, you don't like your job, it's tiring....then that mean you need to keep your job, at least till you get a better one. If you mean that it really depresses you to a point that it's unbelievably stressful then honey get out of it before it's too late- You do Not want to end up on a hospital bed. Do ya?

Let me tell you life is too short for that. I was in the work place for years and I now work from home. Have you ever considered that--no alarm clocks, no time frame. Work when you want to and earn great $$$. Remember you get out what you put in. Never have to listen to your boss yell and scream. If this is something that interests you let me know and I can help you get started. Work only to get your own business going and then you can fire your boss. I work from home and homeschool my kids. My husband is working for the time being and in the next year he will be home with the family and we can then work the business together. My email is jmarsh327@ameriplan.net I would be happy to help.

No it's not. I was in the same situation and after a while I had to leave.. I did find another job gave him 2 weeks notice and he let me go at the end of that week.. If you can find another job than do it whether or not you give 2 weeks notice they generally let you go quickly thinking your not interested in the job anymore. Be careful the jobs out there are tight.

No. All that is going to do is subtract from your comfort level. Pick a job you love and can do without vomitting or getting light headed. Man, ya ain't gonna get paid well if you're running to the bathroom every five minutes.

nicely at the beginning, i'm no longer examining all of that, chum. 2nd of all, suicide is egocentric because of the fact no be counted in case you will see it or experience it, human beings do care approximately you. additionally because of the fact there are human beings available who're loss of existence, no be counted how a lot they opt to stay they are loss of existence of ailments, beginning defects, ailments, and so on. existence is a recent. pay attention, happiness isn't something you take a seat there and await. that isn't any longer something that one merits. surely, the only man or woman who could make you happy is you. that's the kind you notice your existence and the kind you react to undesirable situations. needless to say if something undesirable happens to somebody and that they settle directly to cry and be depressing approximately it for a jointly as then no they gained't be looking various happiness. yet while something undesirable happens to somebody and that they brush it off, say "nicely that sucks" yet strikes on and continues to be advantageous, then they are going to steer a a lot happier existence. Laughter is the superb drugs. try this, chortle at a lot, watch movies and shows that make you chortle, be around acquaintances and kin that make you chortle, while given the prospect to be sure the glass 0.5 finished or 0.5 empty- see it 0.5 finished. in case you strictly stick to this, after a pair days you need to end as much as be happy.

You might have to for awhile, to keep food on the table and a roof over your head, but should be looking diligently for a new job, even if it pays less than the one you have.
