Shepperd said the United States had agreed in a Cold War-era treaty not to fly nuclear weapons. "It appears that what happened was this treaty agreement was violated," he said.
The warheads should have been removed from the missiles before they were attached to the B-52 bomber, according to military officials.

They were flown to Barksdale AFB, where these "accidentally" moved nukes could be used to bomb Iran. This is their cover up story, I believe this too. Why cover it up? Because the UN has authority over all movement of Nuclear Weapons. Anyone who says this is no big deal doesn't understand this.
I read somewhere that these six nukes probably already have "Goodmorning Iran" written on them. Lets see what happens in a couple of weeks.

Honestly.. Do you really think those missles were moved for some conspiracy..? Do you know how many treaties we would break alone bombing Iran, let alone moving them missiles purposely? Give me a break, isint the whole conspiracy deal getting old now? Go figure... Every little mistake or accident the U.S causes.. There is always some "conspiracy" behind it. Give it a rest, this stuff happens all the time. Try pointing your fingers at N.Korea. Stop hating the U.S for a second.

America will never nuke another country again unless there's a WWIII but lets hope things dont ever get that bad.
(knocks on wood)
We dont have to nuke Iran because its only a matter of time before someone pulls a coup de tat in Iran and replaces their dumbass leader. The guy is an idiot and the Iranian people are not happy with him and they want change so its only a matter of time!

This really is no big deal. Look the UN is not capable of stopping the 3rd world country of Sudan from it's genocidal attacks in Dafur. They can moan and groan all they want, but the result Will be nothing. Now if our military moved these weapons on purpose, you can be sure they had a good reason ,and we should be thankful we have these weapons considering the dangers of today's world

You over estimate the efficiency of our military. If they were doing it in secret, then why did they do a press release? UN does not have authority over the US, or that matter any country with a veto vote.
They were moving the missiles down there to be destroyed. The forgot to take the warheads off, believe me heads will be rolling over this.

It shall remain to be seen what will happen. I won't lose any sleep over it.
Hey doug C,
Even if it is true, the American people STILL DO NOT deserve anything NEAR 9/11.
You're saying more innocent people, and more kids' parents deserve to be killed? That's EXACTLY what you're saying.
FREAK.
EDIT: Hey Quas, is it the U.S. people or the U.S. military and government you don't like? Obviously it's the latter. Since that's the case, why do you support killing more innocent people? You don't have a problem with the innocent people, but you still think they deserve to be killed? And the kids, too? Oh yea, that makes LOTS of sense.
You won't win here, fella. Your views are WAY skewed.

I agree with Doug C 100 % in his sentiments about america.
One reason why there was a towers strike was to show that america is not the most country in the world, and that they can't keep going around policing the world to fit their own ideals of what a 'perfect world' should be like.
What part about moving nuclear arms do I not get? Try the part that the current policies of any country developing nuclear arms, and placing sanctions on them is nothing but a cover for placing the world under their control.
I'm probably one of the most anti-american people here, which I hide no fact about, and again, I have to agree with Doug C that since americans didn't learn from the last tower attacks, then it's only a matter of time before someone gets the idea to strike much larger, bigger and more deadly - to which I will not be sorry for in the least.
I'm even expecting quite a few pot shots at Bush while he's in Australia - I think all Australians are expecting that, really.

With all the thieves in the world I wouldn't doubt that someone had tried to steal them and sell them to another country.
But they sure as hell didn't get away with this load....
The USA will not attack them without good reason, not with nukes anyway.
However there is an element of threat from Iran and I think their leader is a bit insane.

I know let's just fly them back to there home port, will that make you happy? Do you have any idea that a B-52, can reach anywhere, from any base? Why is everything a conspiracy? Is there no possiblity that a mistake could have been made? And we will not nuke Iran, we will drop the huge bunker busters on them when the time comes......

Well I don't get the plutonium. It's a little hard to come by these days but if I had it, Iran would be out of business quickly and after what the Mexican president said, maybe Mexico too.
