Okay guys, if I get a tattoo on a friday night don't wear shoes saturday or sunday. Will it be alright to wear shoes Monday for school. I don't have p.e. So I won't be waling much, plus I'll wear a sauren wrap and lotion to protect it, think this will be alright for the tattoo. And no I can't wear sandals school rules. thanks for answers.

Okay ... your tattoo artist would tell you this and don't rewrap a tattoo, it needs to breath. Keep it clean and moist, wear socks that don't have fuzzies and if you can help it don't tie your shoe too tight to cut back on pressure and friction. Remove shoes and socks asap, only have a sock on if you have to. The tattoo artist will tell you this stuff. Maybe rethink the area if you wouldn't be able to care for it right ...

no. you MUST not wear shoes or socks for two weeks after getting a tattoo on the foot to be sure that it will heal properly. if you do wear shoes or socks it could definitely keep it from healing well and could very well make it look very crappy in the end. i suggest waiting until christmas break to get your tattoo so you'll be able to let it heal, either that or you should have gotten it before school started back.
wrapping it back in saran wrap isn't a good idea either because it'll just take even longer to heal and that won't help things at all. you also need to keep it elevated as much as possible for the first couple of days.
foot tattoos are notorious for not healing well and fading more easily so it really is important for you to take care of it exactly as you are supposed to while it is healing.

my artist told me if i have to wear shoes to put on some cream and cover it in glad wrap, then put on socks and shoes... its not an ideal healing condition for your tattoo but it is better than the socks just rubbing it. worse comes to worse all you will have to do is get it touched up again.

hmmm i have a foot tattoo also... what i did for the first three days is NOT wash it at all... keep it covered for the first 24hours especially if you shower... then use baby ointment (like for diaper rash) on it for three days. after three days, then start using lotion. always keep in moisturized... carry the baby ointment with you and use it any time you see the tattoo losing it's shine. same goes for when you use the lotion.

yes i have one. you can wear shoes a couple days after. my suggestion is though taking them off as soon as you get home!! cuz ur foot sweats a lot and sometimes ink may leak out a bit. nothing major. mine looks fine
