False. Mom (assuming she has custody) can go to court and request that the visitation order be modified and the court will likely allow daughter to have her say, BUT unless Dad is unfit/a danger they will NOT deny him visitation. The court recognizes a parent’s right to maintain a relationship with their child and they will not bow down to the wishes of a hormonal teenager unless there is a VALID reason why visitation should be denied. Basically, Dad’s rights outweigh the child’s wishes (again, unless Dad’s actually unfit/a danger). The court may, however, suggest/order counseling, and frankly if daughter doesn’t want to see Dad at all, then counseling is likely needed.

Discuss it with a local attorney.

I do not know about a law in Texas, but I've always believed whether this is a fact or something I heard during my life that once a child is over 13 the court takes into account who they want to live with and who can see/ or not see them. I don't know the circumstances or anything so I'll answer with a maybe. I don't know if that helps or not.

I think the law says something like the court will take her feelings into consideration once she reaches that age. The best thing to do is ask your divorce attorney.

At 14yrs of age the child can make up their own mind if they wish to continue regular visitation with the other parent. Have your daughter tell her father why she's chosing not to see him dont do it for her
