I wouldn't be afraid of dying. It happens to everyone.
I am afraid of not completely dying but maybe getting shot or stabbed or something like that... Or torture

I too, am afraid of death. The fact that I have panic attacks does not help this. It has gotten so bad that it controls my life. There have been times that I have been afraid to go to sleep because of the fear that I would not wake up. (only 29).
I catch myself checking my pulse when I get "worked up", because I am afraid that I will have a heart attack.
Things have gotten a little bit better. I have started talking to a therapist about my fear. She has helped a bit.

I'm afraid of nubs (you know, people missing half an arm or leg). It's really sad when somebody with a nub comes up to me and I run away from them terrified. I can't help it. I totally freak. It was just as bad the other day when I was flipping through the channels on TV and there was a lady with nubs for arms on the program and I almost started crying... what the hell eh?
I looked it up, but I couldn't find any "phobia" name for it.
