Should I take it right before I leave?
Or right when I get home?
Which way works the best?
Thanks!

I have had many ortho experiences with braces. It would make more sense to have it about 30 min before your appointment just to give it time to work. Then just take one about 3 hours after your appointment.
Good Luck with your braces.

Aleve is a 12-hour medication, so it won't matter too much, but before you leave would be better, so the pain doesn't get ahead of the medication.

For best results do both. After you take it before you go it's already in your system to be more effective after you go the first time.

You can take it before because it works for up to 12hrs. If you take it afterwards it will take about 20 minutes to kick in. Its a win win situation.

30 minutes before your appointment will help you experience less pain.
