Both are benzodiazapine derivatives used in treating anxiety and other mental disorders. Lorazapam is the stronger I think. BE CAREFUL as these drugs are for short term use only and Lorazapam can be addictive. Alprazolam loses its efficacy after about 8 weeks.
BENZODIAZOPINES HAVE A REPUTATION AS ADDICTIVE DRUGS. You might want to get more info on them; just type in "benzodiazapines", "Lorazapam" and "Alprazolam" into Yahoo web search. Wikipedia has good summaries.

I have taken both. Lonazapam I finally stopped it caused more depression Alprazolam works faster I like it better
