And it needs to be about medium sized, smaller than a german shepard but bigger than a chihawa (no chiwawas either). It has to be low active and not shed a lot. Like a westie but it needs to be abit bigger. I'm all up for mixed breeds and suggestions

Thanks!

There's at least 1 dog in every single shelter in America that will fit that description. Here's what you do:

Get a pen and a big piece of paper for phone numbers and be prepared to be up late. There are tens of thousands of homeless pets waiting to love you.

Thank you for considering the adoption of a mixed breed.

EDIT: okay- no bird dogs. Specifically, search for poodle mixes, shih tzu mixes, or wire-haired breeds like schnauzers or dachshund mixes. These should be good with people and pets but don't ever trust a dog alone with a bird.

look up all the animal shelters/humane societies in your area... Go to the shelter and ask to see there medium sized dogs. They are sure to have lots of dogs for you to choose from. Mixed breeds have a better attitude anyhow.. theyre not so high maintenance!

Go to a shelter and find either a mix or pure breed that breaks your heart. But on a personal note, I would look into a Cardigan Welsh Corgi. They are cool dogs!

Get a rat terrier puppy. They are great dogs. You can get them in a range of sizes from 4-30 pounds.

My friend, who lives with three other siblings, has a Samoyed, which almost never sheds and is very playful. The dog is nice to everyone, doesn't bark randomly, and loves to have her belly rubbed.

go to a shelter and look around or go on petfinder.com. i personally love dacshunds. they are great, low maintnance dogs. i think they may be a bit too small for your taste though. you could get a dachshund mix i guess. beagles are also great dogs. i think for your standards, a beagle would fit better for size.
