The Gospels (Matthew Mark Luke and John), the book of Pslams, Genisise, Exodice and Revolations I'd think.

I don't know about most famous, but most referred to or quoted, I would probably say:

The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John)
The Book of Genesis
Revelation (also called Apocalypse in some Bibles)
I Corinthians
Psalms

Those would be my choices. I'm sure there are plenty that people will come up with, but that's where you see a lot of the quotations and Bible stories come from, as well as songs and prayers.

For Jews, the key book is Deuteronomy, because that is where Moses gives the laws.
For Christians, the Gospels are important. They are spoken of as one book, the Gospels, rather than as four books, which they are...Gospel of Luke, Mark Matthew and John.

You should do a little research and find out that much scripture was left out of the Bible. The word of God is not supposed to be disputed, but they don't tell you that man chose what went in and what was left out. Only scripture that fit with church doctrine and dogma was allowed to be in the version you read now.

Most people get the whole Bible, they don't just order the Gospel of John or whatever.
