I don't really care about them knowing HOW. I care more about them knowing WHY.

I have to agree with "who is them" as it may make a difference.
Anyways if I was mudered I would want people to find out and who did it so they could go to jail.
Also maybe I could be of some scientific use thats could stop someone else from dying.
So in some cases an autopsy to find cause of death may be helpful.
If I am like 85 had a history of medical problems and just stop breathing one night then no I dont need an autopsy.

if i'm 85 years old and die peacefully in my sleep, who cares. but if i am found tomarrow, at age 36, apparently strangled to death, then yes, i want my family to know what happened.
