If you have a girlfriend, its like you have a stamp on your head that says "there is something to like about this guy." It is proof that at least somebody thinks you are worth spending time with.
Single people don't have that advertisement.
People ALWAYS want what they can't have.

Personally, I would NEVER try to break up a relationship, flirt with a guy that's in a relationship or get a guy to cheat on his girl, I hate girls like that. But, that's not to say I haven't liked a boy when he had a girlfriend. Like last year there was this guy I kind of liked , but I just let it slide. Then he got a girlfriend and I started liking him more. Maybe it's because we like what we can't have? Who knows. I don't think anyone can figure us girls out.

Girls are more interested in guys that already have girlfriends because girls always want what they can't have. They like the game. I know from experience. This also could be because the girl sees how good the guy is to his girlfriend and she thinks that they would make a great couple too. So it's all just a game. Girls don't think they are wasting their time because they want to believe that a guy will take one look at them and immediately break things off with their girl and go for them. It's weird...and kinda mean. But so true :)

If a guy has a girlfriend - that shows that he's good enough to HAVE a girlfriend... thus making him "worthy" of the attention of other women.
Also, women are the most competitive against other women - so a guy becomes something of a "prize" in showing up other gals. They want what everyone else has.

When a guy has a leash on (his girlfriend) we can tease the guy with out the risk of getting hurt... there is no risk of a break up later on. We get attention we need, but don't have to worry about keeping the guy entertained as a girlfriend is suppose to do. It sounds bad, but you got to know how to play the game.
Guys do it too...

A guy with a girlfriend is more chalenging. That's life. Try to wear a ring showing the girls that you are engaged, you will not believe what will happen. Don't try to understand women's mind, if they ever have one, certainly it is upside down. Try to love them, "they are creatures of the heart", said Antony Queen in the film - Walking in the clouds.

Taken men obviously have something a girl wants and likes - the single guys require time and effort to find out IF they are likable. It is PURELY selfish that a girl (or guy) would chase a "taken" guy or girl.
I actually get kinda angry when guys that KNOW I'm taken try and pick up on me - it insults me that they would think I'm that way.

I can't explain that, because I only look at available guys. The ones with girlfriends don't interest me. The girls who knew you were attached and still looked at you must be people who don't mind cheating on their boyfriend.

Its a sub conscience realization that for someone to be in a relationship they have to be a good gf/bf and we want that. Also when people are happy ( which they usually are happier in a relationship) they give a kind of confidence and glow that people are more attracted to. Its not only for men but women too.

It is the same thing with the guys. A lot of guys are more interested on women who are taken. Why is that? Because it is human instinct. We are never happy with what we got. We want something that we don't have. Not everybody is like that though.
