Popcorn is good for you, high in fiber and low in calories if you go easy on the butter and salt. Orville Redenbachers is having troubles now because the chemical that makes the butter taste is found to have harmful fumes that hurt some factory workers. The company says it doesn't matter to you using your microwave.

As long as there is not too much oil, butter or salt on it it is actually a nice fiber-filled snack that is naturally low in calories. it's the stuff you put on it that makes it bad.

Popcorn is not bad for you at all. If you buy heavily buttered and salted, then it is bad for you. There are lightly buttered and no salted kinds, which really you wont be able to tell the difference.

Microwave corn is EVIL. Popping it yourself isn't so bad if you don't load up on butter and salt.

popcorn is pretty bad for you, Microwaving food destroys nearly all of the vitamins in the food itself, unless your going to put corn on the stove in the pot, its not very good for you
