Your sponsor can be any confirmed member of your faith, regardless of age or sex. Their role is similar to that of a godparent.

Good Luck :-)

have you ever requested the guy who's teaching you if an exception could be made? If this is a instructor, ask between the priests. i've got taught affirmation many circumstances and did no longer understand that the sponsor had to be the comparable gender because of the fact the confirmand. in fact, my sister in regulation is going to be shown this 365 days and my brother concept that he could be chosen. My youngest brother chosen my father's center call as his affirmation call. My father's center call is the final call of his mom's terrific pal. This posed a difficulty considering the fact that, technically, it wasn't a saint's call, nevertheless we are taught that each and every sturdy guy or woman who dies is going to heaven. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, we requested the priest who spoke with the bishop. He had a private assembly with my dad and mom and my brother. He requested my brother if he wanted this call himself and wasn't being compelled to take it. He nevertheless adores my father and wanted to be the 0.33, so of direction it replaced into his selection. The bishop allowed it. another bishops does no longer. Ask and get your element for the period of that this guy has been instrumental on your religious progression. sturdy success and congratulations.
