Can anyone give me an example of an answered prayer where the answer could ONLY have been given by 'God' and could not possibly have been provided by any natural effect or circumstance.
That includes the placebo effect.

Some one once pointed out that praying to a jug of milk is exactly as effective as praying to god!

The logic runs thus; there are three outcomes;

The prayer is answered, something happens in the immediate future that can be interpreted as a positive answer to the prayer

The prayer is not answered - nothing happens.

The answer is deferred - nothing happens immediately but after a long period of time events can be retro-fitted to be interpreted as a positive answer.

a Xtian apologist summed this up as 'Sometimes god says yes, sometimes he says no, sometimes he says 'not yet''

but the point is, one would get those three responses by praying to ANYTHING!!!

1) The time my car speeded up (silently), whipped around the car that had just pulled in front of me, then condensed itself in width (my right elbow was next to the right window of the car) so that we could squeeze in between the slow car ahead of us and the semi in the oncoming land, then swerved back and straightened up in my original lane, all with my hands off the wheel and my feet flat on the floor, in answer to the prayer, "You drive!"

2) This was not a "Help!" prayer, it was just a little wish: "I'd like to hear that again!" The tape player was Scourby reading the Bible at the point in the gospel of John where Jesus says, "I go to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God," and I thought that was so sweet I wanted to hear it again. But in order to reach over and turn the tape back, I had to slow down and take a curve that I usually do at 65 mph, at 35 mph instead. So when I pulled out of the curve, and faced an oncoming car followed by an oncoming semi In My Lane, because the left lane was temporarily blocked, I was already braking, and we all got to live!

3) You Could say that many times after I pray I get incredibly lucky, but if you Saw all that, pragmatically you'd suggest that I go for it just because it's so, so successful.

well i can tell you, and you would just say that would have happened to me anyways, and it was just a coincident, so why should i bother, ill tell you if you want me to.

ohh by the way, god doesnt like me you or anyone else half the time, but the other half of the time he answers prayers sometimes, i mean think of how many people there are in the world all begging for help.

Sure. God saved my dad from hell four days before he died. My father was an unbeliever for all his 91 years on earth. After I became born again, I began praying for my father's salvation. Saw no evidence my prayers were having any effect at all. I prayed for ten years.

My father said he wanted to go to heaven the last day before he slipped into unconsciousness. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and died four days later. That was divine intervention. Please do not wait so long, anyone who is reading this. You never know when your last breath will be. God was merciful with my father.

Back in the 3-6 grades, I have obsessed with this girl who I don't think even noticed me for the longest time. For two years I prayed that she would somehow notice me and fall in love with me. Sure enough to my amazement, while at the 6th grade school finale dance, she asked me if I would like to dance. I was freaked out. A week later she asked me to go out with her. And keep in mind, I'd never been asked by anyone before. I said no because i was freaked. Sounds like a fairy tale i know, but take my word for it...its a true story

So i guess, god made me pay for my sin

Matthew 12:38-45"Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to Him, 'Teacher, we want to see a miraculous sign from you' He answered, 'A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a miraculous sign! but none shall be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah..." but I could list plenty of miracles in my own life and you still would not believe because you haven't experienced it for yourself. My brother and my oldest son are both miracles. The doctors told my mother she was having a girl, I prayed for a brother, the doctors were wrong. When I was pregnant with my son the doctors only gave me a 50/50 chance of being able to keep him alive long enough to be born IF I did EVERYTHING that they said. He's healthy and strong today. I was in my car with my children crossing RR tracks---- I never saw the train----my car was "pushed" from behind and the train missed me, but not by much. (it was an umarked RR crossing) my kids and I had prayed for safe travels before we got in the car. There's more but why bore you with the details?!

I was in Christies hospital (Manchester) on chemo with a terrible chest infection. My blood count was desperately low - I was nearly put in isolation - and every time I lay down or took a breath I coughed. Each time I coughed is hurt my chest and my head. I asked God to heal me of the infection and reached out to him. After the prayer I tried to take a deep breath and didn't cough, then lay down and didn't cough. I slept properly for the first time in days and in the morning my blood count was up and I could go home.
I am clear of Cancer too.

The doctors told us that my grandmother had pancreatic cancer and would die in a few days. They were 100% sure. The entire church got together and prayed for her and she lived through the week. On the eighth day the confounded doctors had to come tell us they had made a mistake and she had pancreatitis. That was 43 years ago. She's 96 now.

I was healed from cancerous cells, My friend had a mass in his chest (they thought to be cancer) and and I & some friends prayed for him, and when he went to have it removed and they took him into surgery it had disappeared. I know that God removed it for us and I know God heals. I also know you may say different and if that's so it's okay I don't need to prove anything to you or anyone else.... God will show you proof if you ask Him to. Did you know that?
