yes, unfortunately that is one of the side effects. If it bothers you too much ask your medical doctor for a different medication. What works on one person may not be good for a another.

Yes, it is a CNS depressant. That's also why it makes some people tired. If you tell your doctor, they may try you on other painkillers, and if that doesn't work and you still need pain relief, some will prescribe a stimulant alongside the depressant. (In pain management practices, some doctors are prescribing ritalin to counteract the drowsiness the pain meds can cause, but there isn't a lot of study into the validity of this treatment yet.)

Oddly, in some people, opiates are effective anti-depressants.

about a month to feel normal again...and as you have already seen, the trick is forcing exercise. Your brain stopped or slowed producing of natural endorphins when you were using opiates. Now your brain needs to start producing them again, and exercise is how you trick your body into doing that. Try to limit the benzo use too. Use them only as needed, and in a month throw them away, because a benzo addiction is even worse than an opiate addiction. Congrats and keep up the good work...Detoxes get harder every time you relapse too, so don't go there.
