Ok I'm done skirting around this issue for fear of my question being deleted or offending someone and getting a violation. So here's the scoop..Take it or leave it.
Our government in either party doesn't want to solve this issue either by "amnesty" or "deporting". If they seriously did YOU wouldn't have stopped amnesty.YOU wouldn't stop deportations. It's all up to them in the end.The bill that failed was suppose to fail.It had things added they knew people on the other sides wouldn't agree with. It's called cheap labor and laugh at us the citizens and laugh at the illegal immigrants who are all taking heat for our governments(both) GREED.The NAU is coming so unless you want borders erased and our liberties taken wake up.Maybe it's time we pulled together instead of apart on this issue and realize just what they're doing here and stop it before it's too late.Or they'll just continue the comedy and laugh at how gullible we are.
So...Do you think we're being played for fools?
I do

BTW..they're only doing a little toward deporting anyone. The ones caught in raids? Only those who have previous warrants are getting deported. The rest are turned back into the states.Check ICE"S website if you don't believe me.

Grown woman....Right now all I can think of is educate yourself on NAFTA and NAU then scream loud and clear. If all of us focus on this issue they CAN'T ignore us.But if they keep us divided they can.

Yes, I think we are being played. Immigration is not the only issue that they do this on. Look at the debate on the Iraq pullout a few months ago. The Democrats must have known the bill was not going to survive a presidential veto, but they still wasted all that time passing the bill. The Republicans did the same thing with the immigration bill. Here are some other examples of dead-in-the-water bills that Congress tries to pass every once in a while: flag burning amendment, abortion ban, Hillary's health plan, school vouchers.

definite, we are being performed. The question is, can we proceed to permit our flesh pressers to dupe us. you may no longer tell me that we, the individuals, can no longer end the region if we purely vote out people who help this occasion every time they arise for election. we ought to lose some senators and congressmen who've been around an prolonged time, yet we regain our united states. Amnesty, via the way, will do no longer something yet harm voters and criminal immigrants...and inspire greater unlawful immigration. We granted one amnesty and due to this we've one in each of those huge situation now.

You are clearly wrong when you say the government has the last word. Where were you when the people spoke up & stopped that ridiculous amnesty bill??? We all tied the lines up in protest. Just remember... American citizens don't have to march in the streets. We have other ways of letting our government know how we feel. If the government has so much power over the people, they would have past that amnesty bill whether we all liked it or not. American citizens have the power to vote these people in & out of office... Don't ever forget that. As for the NAU... I'm sure American citizens will vote that down too. Although I believe in Revelations (the last book of the bible) & I believe in the end, the whole world will be under one ruler... I don't think it will happen in our time. Who knows though... We can't stop the inevitable. For now... I will always vote against amnesty & illegal aliens taking advantage of this great country!!! Furthermore... You say that people aren't researching these issues. You obviously haven't researched all the candidates, or you would know that Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo & a couple of others are totally against illegal immigration & vow to put a stop to it. Unlike you... I have a link to back me up... http://www.ronpaulaudio.com

Yes, I do. Thank you so much for saying it. I have been saying the same- the government is going to do whatever it so pleases. It gave up on caring about its citizens some time ago.
They don't want to deport them- they would lose their profit margin. They don't want to give them amnesty because if they are here legally, they can form unions and be paid the same as any citizen.....
I do think that we are being played for fools and that many issues are "red herrings" to distract from the greater issues of the world.

It's not quite that sinister, but, yes, the political forces at work are making it very difficult for any one side to prevail in the immigration debate, and the high level of illegal immigration is a consequence of that.

We're being played by the corrupt and inept Mexican government. President Calderon needs to strap his 'vos on, and get some reform moving. Mexico is not a poor country, but its wealth is concentrated in too few hands.

I agree with you and it only makes me more and more furious. I refuse to fall for it. "We the people" are going to have to insist on being heard and on having our laws enforced. Amnesty isn't the answer and never was. Amnesty is a way to hasten the NAU.
I'm afraid that we are going to have to take a real stand on this and make some very difficult decisions. I'm know that I'm willing to cross party lines for the first time in my life. I won't do it lightly, but I WILL vote for the strongest anti-illegal, anti-amnesty, anti- NAU candidate that there is.
