Yeah, the next time the United mechanic has a problem, he should just sacrifice a couple of goats and that should appease the sky god and keep the plane aloft. What a ridiculous world we live in.

Or maybe, the mechanics should just say a few Hail Marys and Our Fathers and that should appease America's god.

Actually, I think the sacrifice was given in tandem with normal routine mechanical repair. It's like doing the repairs, and casting a spell to guard against gremlins. They are just trying to cover all their bases.

This seems odd to people without faith (athiests) and people of other faiths that don't believe in blood sacrifices. It doesn't bother me, as long as they don't give up on the mechanics!

They can't get spare parts the only thing keeping them up is spit glue and gum.
They better pray to someone. Of course being Indian well.
