Does it really matter what number Jr. Has next year
If you are that shallow and only follow a number than it matters.

But, If you are a TRUE JR. FAN you will cheer him on no matter what number is on his car or on your t-shirt.
lets just give this all arest.... jee wiz.

I don't think it matters. They have wasted too much time with the number thing. They should just pick one and move on.

ok, so he had to leave the 8 behind, so did his dad. I think it is more important who his sponsors are going to be. I'll follow Dale wherever he goes and whatever car he drives. I'll follow him even if he never wins a championship. those who talk about money, go out and buy all the #8 stuff you can find, next year the #8 will not have BUD on the side of it so everyone will know when the see the red Bud #8 that it was JR's car. as for me, I follow the Man, not the car or the sponsor!!!

Go Dale

Well, it won't be the #5 since Mears will be in that ride next year. It really doesn't matter what number will be on Jr's car. I think he will have a great season next year. HMS is consistently putting the best cars on the track.

It's about the DRIVER ,not the number,Tony Stewart could race the # 8369 mercedes sponsored by the Republicans one side and the Democrats on the the other,I'd still be a Tony Stewart fan!

If Theresa wasn't such a rag she would sell the 8 to Hendrick so everyone south of the Mason Dixon line would not have to get new window stickers and tattoos.

Ask someone with a #8 tattoo that question! LOLOLOLOL

No it doesn't matter in the sense that it won't prevent him from racing, but the fact is he is the only reason DEI got that # to begin with, it's HIS # in honor of his grandfather, so Teresa keeping it from him is just petty and enough to make fans hicker tickered.

I think all this uncertainty has people on edge, once he finally announces his # people will start to settle down as the acceptance comes.

Heres what I think. JR has been driving the 8 and sponsored by bud since 99. He aint won a champion ship within those 8 years and never will with that car. Time to move on, I welcome the change. When he goes to HMS, he, jimmie and jeff will dominate the sport. And P.S. to all you tony Stuart fans, hes driven jap crap next years, I bet he wont even come close to making the chase. HAHAHA
