Yes. I started out atheist, became a born-again fundamentalist, went to a Charismatic church that went haywire, discovered the beauty of liturgy & joined an Anglican church that got tossed around between 4 denominations, and then finally after about 6 years of saying, "God couldn't possibly want me to be Catholic" and visiting all sorts of Protestant churches (Orthodox, too), I realized that the Catholic Church had everything I was searching for...and none of what I was told Catholics did that is anti-Biblical (like worshiping Mary or whatever -- doesn't happen!).

So now I'm Catholic and very glad to be so. But I do not regret my years as a Protestant at all, nor my 4 short months exploring Orthodoxy. God used it all for good.
