Well, that's pretty self explanatory...I can't order anything off the internet and I have pretty limited resources...How and where can I find a guitar in good condition for $200 or lower?

Check out the starter packs on www.musiciansfriend.com. They have starter packs for under 200, and you can order over the phone if you like.

That's too bad.

I think the stores have solid top guitars for 199, maybe Alverez or Epiphone. Make sure it doesn't buzz and sounds half way decent. And make sure the intonation is correct.

The trick with Guitar Center (local store in CA) is that people who work there seem like great guys but they always try to talk you into something.

Do not go to pawn shops you will get junk for expensive. Check out starter packs on musiciansfriend.com do not buy your guitar from someone like best buy or target or wal-mart its all junk. Ebay or craigs list is also a good source for used guitars that are affordable.
