Take it to the Vet and have it checked out immediately. Your dog could have an eye infection from what it sound like to me. either way a your vet will be able to tell you what is wrong and put your dog on antibiotics if needed. hope this helps. Do go to your vet because if left untreated your dog may have have to loose the eye because of not being treated right away.

Just an idea, but how about going to the vets?? They can take a look and give you the appropriate medication, probably in the form of eye drops. Hope no one on here suggests any remedies or attempts any diagnoses - not possible over the internet.

The vet is probably right and unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to run the tests. I work in a pet store and there are eye drops you could try but if it cataracts or glaucoma they would be ineffective. He won't go blind. My senior tiny toy poodle has the same problem and we don't have the money for the procedure either. It just makes their vision a little unclear. I wouldn't worry yourself to much.

Anytime the discharge is a color (besides clear) they should see a vet because it is most likely an infection.

You need a prescription antibiotic from your vet either orally or in eye drops.
