I totally agree with you. I have two boys one is 6yrs the other is 4yrs. There is no way i would let them get fat. Ok they do have the odd treat chocolate, crisps etc. They might eat a MC Donald's about once a month. I know kids these day that eat far more fast food than my kids do. When i was a child things like MC Donald's was a BIG treat and id get one once in a wonder. My son's recently had their sports day, all the over weight kids really struggled with all the race's, i found it so sad, their parents where cheering them on but not one of them won a race.......very sad.

You're right, it's the parents' fault for not helping their kids. You have to remember that obesity is also genetic as well as environmental, like for all things in the body there is a gene that controls weight. One of the main causes obesity epidemic is partly due to pre-natal malnutrition which can cause mutations within the genes, combined with the media endorsing all of the crap that kids are brainwashed to eat combined with lousing parenting.

You're right. Make a game with your kids about nutrition. Let them help cook. Get measuring cups to measure portions. Take family walks or buy everyone a bicycle. Turn off the Tv and computer once a week.

That's true in some cases, but not all, do a little more research before you go accusing all parents with overweight kids of being lazy.
