Whats a way I can fry up fish? I just usually quick put corn meal and flour and fry it up that way but I relize I have no corn meal and dont want to have to go to the store just for that. Is there another way I can fry it up?

If your fish is red snapper, halibut or cod, you can put a little oil and butter in your skillet, place your fish in there along with some sliced almonds around it. Brown the almonds lightly, turning to brown evenly - don't burn. Turn the fish over and place the almonds on top of the fish to keep them from getting any darker. Add a little water to the skillet (be careful - it will splatter) and cover. Steam just a little bit until the fish is cooked through and the water evaporates.

Besides flour, you can use fine bread crumbs, cracker meal or matzoh meal.

You can dip the fish in milk, buttermilk or egg before coating it.

You could just salt & pepper it then brown it in some butter & olive oil.

you can roll it in flour or pour in a little oil and fry it that way,i use mexican corn bread mix,hope this helps.

how about just grilling it? put a little oil in a pan and add seasoning, its great that way!!
