This was awesome. Im 19 and grew up watching Dale race until I was 13. The format of it made Dale seem like he was still alive. I had never seen him in such a way. I knew he was a simple man, but never understood it. I loved how they incorporated the Daytona 500 throughout it. I had never seen the video of him wiping his windshield before. But a really good movie. "3" was alright, but this was so much better. The story ends the same way in every movie and will always water my eyes. Your opinions.

Yes it was an excellent tribute.

It shows that not all of the driver's live in BIG fancy houses .

Wonder how many people know that King Richard Petty and his wife Linda live in a cozy little log cabin ?

I'd like to add that I'm surprised that they never mentioned Neil Bonnett not even once and he and Dale were close hunting buddies

It was a lot better than 3
and it showed the side of him that very few people ever saw..he would do anything for his close friends..Just like when he mentioned the car dealership...that was ran by a person he gave him a car to race at the Daytona 500 when he first started racing...if you watched the show before that it was the Talledega race when he was in 19th place with 5 laps to go and he ended up wining that race tok the lead just before the white flag he passed 18 cars in a few laps what a race that was

I grew up being mostly a Martin Fan. Yes I was a Dale hater, but it doesnt matter who hated him or loved him, he will be missed by all. I HIGHLY agree with you, WOW! It was an amazing movie and ya know, he was just a typical person who had a job. He never did let fame and fortune get the best of him!

Yes it was a great job they did with it. I have been a fan of NASCAR since the days of dirt races and on the beach at Daytona.

What nascarl#99 said about the Petty's and Neil Bonnet. They also didn't show Dale Sr accident where he went airborne, the car rolled, they got it back to the pits, he got back in it, and raced for a few more laps..

It was great. Dale was a great man on and off the track. He was a down to earth type person. He would have made a great neighbor!!

It really gave me a lot of insight that I had never had before. I also couldn't help feeling sorry for Jr., he didn't seem too happy in alot of those clips they showed, when he was a child. He looked up to his dad so much, and it seemed as though he never got enough attention. I just cried and cried. Numerous times through out the movie.. VERY well done!
