Yes. I'm living proof of it. If both parents carry the recessive gene for blue eyes, their child could have them. Typically, brown eyes are dominant but still blue eyes are possible.

I dont think of so. Blue eyes are the recessive trait whilst brown is the dominant. So, whilst it fairly is attainable for 2 brown-eyed mom and dad to have a blue eyed infant (the two provide a recessive a million/2), Neither can reveal a recessive and provide a dominant. examine with a genetic professional in the previous you string some undesirable woman up regardless of the shown fact that. it is utilising a severe college point of information of genetics...

Yes, if someone in your family has blue eyes it could happen. My husband has brown eyes and I have hazel eyes and my son has green. My daughter's eyes turned out brown like her fathers but I was the only one in the family to have a green eyed child. you just never know!!

The answer is yes. If you or your partner have brown eyes but any of the grandparents have blue, green, hazel eyes then it is a possibility that your child can come out with blue eyes. I'm hazel, my fiance has brown but my dad has blue and my son has blueish gray eyes.

YUP ive seen it 1st hand. somewher along the family blood lines someone must've had blue eyes. Brown eyes are the STRONGER dna strand but yes its very possible. ALSO, most babies are born with light eyes and the color doesn't fully "settle" until like 6-8 weeks later. CRAZY HUH??? Ive seen a couple who was white give birth to a darker child ( and a DNA test proved the man WAS indeed the child's father) and also a mixed couple in britain gave birth to twins, one TWIN was white with blonde hair and blue eyes, the other TWIN was black with dark eyes and curly black hair.... LIFE is weird and so is nature.

genetics shows brown eye color to be dominate to blue but if any of the childs grandparents have blue eyes and for some reason the childs genetic make up allows for a recessive gene to be expressed or a dominate gene to be hidden then its a possibility

yes, if a family member has blue eyes like grandma or grandpa or ever the great grandparents. My oldest has blue gray like me, my youngest has gray brown.
Me I have blue gray and their dad deep dark brown. It is possible, but do know sometimes eye color changes within the first year of life.

Brown eyes are more dominant, but if someone in yau'lls family (ex: ur mom, his brother) has blue eyes (which is more recessive), its still in the genes and can be inherited. So yes, your kid can have blue eyes if he/she gets a gene from someone in yau'lls fam with blue eyes
