Not in the UK.Wild swans are a protected species.Only the royal family can harm them but even they don't.

No-one farms swans here as there has never been a market for their meat.I know swan is eaten in some eastern European and Asian countries so you may have to try importing.

In the UK, no........the Queen does own all the swans....but in California, you can buy a swan on sale now for 999.99. I would think that would be an expensive meal. But there are recipes on line for swan meat so somebody is eating it somewhere in the world.

I'd like to know what prompted you to ask this question - is it commonplace to eat swan anywhere? I've never thought about it before but before you're asking you must have a taste for it, right? Hmm.
I'm very picky about the food I will eat purley because I imagine the most off-putting things when Im eating it... I cant eat fish because Ive had pet fish all my life, same reason for dogs & rabbits. I dont like the thought of eating lamb for obvious cute reasons but I can eat beef because I've somehow seperated the thought of beef = cows... weird I know but Im stickig with it because I really wouldt like to be a veggie, Im too lazy for that.
I'm all about the free range, treated well thing as well... Im a hypocrite and I know it but I would never dream of telling someone else what they can and cant eat.

Not in the UK, all the swans belong to the Queen. They are however, eaten in other countries and there have been instances of foreigners eating our swans. :-o

No. As far as I know it is still protected as the Queen's bird. It was decreed that a swan can only be eaten by Royalty and also it cannot be killed - it is under the protection of the royal seal.
