I would recommend pro active as a starting point. I had a bunch of those little red dots all over my face when I was a teenager. Finally, as I got older, I realized I had to get rid of them. I used pro active for about 4 months and my face was totally cleared. You have to remember that you have to keep your face clean and still treat it even after it is gone so that it won't come back.
About a year and a half ago the pro active stopped working on my face. I finally went to the dermo and he prescribed me diffrin gel. I never had "terrible" acne. I was just embarrased by those little break out points by my T zone. The diffrin gel has cleared it up for me in 3 months. I used the gel every now and again but I guess you just wing yourself off of it.
If you want to go an expensive route, you may want to ask your dermatologist about Accutane. My fiancee used it for about a year and his face cleared up. He hasn't used any other kind of acne cream, gel, or pill since. The problem with accutane is that it can cause depression. So talk to your dermatologist and he/she will be able to help pick out a medication that will suit you.
I hope I helped!

the secret to treating and preventing acne is a good diet. with all the refined junkfood your body has a hard time dealing with acne. the main reasons why acne forms and persists is because of hormonal, nutritional, and immune abnormalities in your body which can be stabilized with a diet rich in fruits&veges, water, essential nutrients, and NO junk or processed food or any sorts! remember that topical acne creams, products, etc. are just temporary fixes for an inside problem! i know thats not the quick easy answer you wanted to hear, but if you want results then you need to work hard

I have acne, go to your doctor and tell him its getting you down.. and he/she will refer you to a dermatolgist and hopefully prescribe you with a drug called roaccutane.

The drug costs about £1,300 a course so get it on the NHS and you will never get a spot or zit again.

Dont bother with clearasil or anything like its rubbish and doesnt work.
