I say keep the color, bob will work. Something softer will bring out any sort of "chubbiness" in the face

This article has tips for selecting flattering hair cuts to suit your face shape w/ links to photos: http://beauty.about.com/od/hairbasics/a/flattering.htm

I suggest a graduated or a-line bob. (i.e. A bob that is shorter in the back & gets longer towards the front.) Highlights are a good idea. A skilled hair dresser can use them to draw attention to the crown, away from your chin & to add more definition to your hair style.

Something like this except w/ deep auburn or caramel/coffee highlights: http://www.matrix.com/find_your_hair_style/short/style_02.aspx?scroll=870
