Sheena, "Van" (Pronounced: VAHHN or like 'Vaughn') It's the plural form of "go" or "going" delante=front detras=behind Example: Where are you guys going? Adonde VAN ustedes (plural) Where are you going? Adonde vas? VA, VAS, VAN (sing) go, (sing) going, (pl.) going

Como tu classes? Means "Like your Classes?"
And " ¿Usted tienen gusto de sus clases?" means "Do you have taste for your classes?" It's hard to say "How are your classes going," because the english idioms are not the same as those in spanish.

"como te van en las clases?"
in spanish, the double s (ss) doesn't exist, so when translating a word with double ss, you just eliminate one s.
