Just kidding, license to drive (just wanted to get your attention)

I got my license today, finally, the DMV's server hasn't been working here since last week...anyways when I looked at it the expiration date read 9-5-2056

Can I keep my license till then? By that time I will be over 21, don't I need to change it or do they keep the picture? I am so confused.

My bad, the expiration date is 8-28-2056

That's crazy, I thought it was strange too...anybody around my age ever have the same problem?

Are you in Arizona?

I believe Arizona is the only state that gives you a license good until you turn 60. You still have to get a new picture every 10 years or something like that.

I love your question title, haha!

Dude, Georgia licenses are so weird. I've seen people with that long of periods before their licenses expire, but they are mostly older.

If Georgia works any way like Texas, you should be able to go in when you are 21 and get your updated license. I got picked in the 'lotto' to have the 12 year license here, so I still had the dorky Under 21 License for, like, two years after I turned 21. In Texas, the entire license looks different so no one will accidently give you alcohol. Anyway, I went in when I turned 24, griping and complaining, and they went on and took a new picture and had me pay for a new license that wasn't all "HI, I'M YOUNG". ;)

What does the expiration on your license say? That is what you go by.
2056 ? Don't think so that is 49 years.
