How do I have the one person that is doing the readings for my wedding transition from one poem to the next?

Does she say something like "Jane & John wanted me to read the following TWO poems"? Or say nothing before the first and then some kind of transition statement between the two? Like "Jane & John would like to share another poem with all of you"

If she says something, does it have to reference some important statement about marriage that we want to share with our guests?

Yikes! Any help would be great...

My readings are the EE Cummings, I Carry Your Heart and another marriage poem called On Your Wedding Day - Author unknown.

Thank you!

I like the idea of having her say Jane and John would like to share another poem with you. That way they recognize there is more than one poem.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials.

Definitely talk to your officiant, he may have a suggestion on where and when to have the 2 readings so that there is a break between the 2. Usually the officiant introduces the reader with "and now we will have a reading by so and so".

Good luck!

Readings in a ceremony are beautiful and since you have 2 of them, why not work with the officiant and place them in different places in the ceremony. The person marrying you will best know where to put them in relation to the cermeony being performed..
