He would probably finish higher than the drivers they have but the cars are not good enough to win.

If he had his same crew he has now he could finish in the top 10, but probably not the top 5. There probably is a difference in Petty cars and Hendrick cars, but not as much as to keep a driver for winning at least one race a year. If Petty could get a decent driver in the 45, like they have with Bobby Labonte, they might be able to win.

Jeff would have a better finish for sure, but I think the 45 & 49 cars probably aren't prepared as well. Fractions of a second are the differrence between 1st and 41st.

Personally, I think the engineering is WAY behind on those 2 teams. Petty Enterprises has stepped it up as of late, but I don't think they are HMS caliber cars... The 49 is even worse.. That team can't seem to catch a break even when it comes to makin' races.

This would be interesting to see though.. but I highly doubt it.

Since all the cars in theory should be the same ... (we know they are not!) ... then it should be the driver who makes a difference...but since those to cars are crap...he might get a top 10 out of the #45...but nada out of #49

Probably Not.

There cars are junk.

The motors need more giddy-up in the horse. The fact that Robbie Loomis is there, he might have some knowledge of the car setup.

I highly doubt though that he would be in the top five right away.

it's more then just a car, it's the crew and the driver. if any are out of whack you will not get a good finish. you could put JR. in the 24 and if it is not set up for how he drives he will not get a good finish. if you gave "Flash"(Gordon) Bush's crew, it wold throw his game off. So no I don't think "Flash" could get a top 5 finish in any car but his own and with his own crew.

Go Dale! I'll fallow you wherever you go and whatever # car you drive! DEI, Go to.........

One of the 3 best drivers of all time...no one in this modern era of NASCAR will ever be able to equal his total wins..jealously prevails .. especially Jr. don't have daddy around to help him on the track...but for Junior.,if you can't win, JOIN EM'
