I've been having this same dream since I was six, and in my dream I'd be sleeping on the couch, then I'd look out the window and there would be two twin tornadoes in this dead field across the street, so I'd go get my mom and when she would look, the gas station would be back in it's rightful place, then as soon as she turned her back, the twisters and the field were back.
Also, I have a new recurring dream along with that one. I keep having dreams of plane crashes and missiles. The first, a plane crashed in my back yard and a little boy and little girl were standing next to it covered in blood.. another time, I had a dream I was running from a missile and remembered thinking "If things black out, I got hit and I'm dead" then things blacked out and I woke up.. and one I just had last night, it had both missiles and a plane crash and it's just too much to explain.. I gave the main details, though.
HELP?! what does this all mean?

In all the missile/plane crash dreams, the main vivid color is red. Also in the dream I had last night, the plane had the properties of rubber.. it was slithering like a snake in the air and bending and turning and doing loops, and when it was crashing the top of the plane ripped away and I could see people jumping, and other's standing up and pointing to the street screaming. I remember one man's face, clothes, expression, CLEARLY.
My aunt and her ex husband and their five kids were also in that dream, they were on the plane but came out alive without a scratch. The three dogs they had with them were also fine, except one was missing a kidney from the crash, so my aunt was holding this bloody dog kidney..
In the dream I wasn't scared, though.. it was just "oh cool, plane crash. Missiles, cool." but when I woke up I was terrified.

All of your answers are amazingly accurate. Thank you so much!
One problem still remains, though.. I'm only 16, so the things I have to control to stop having these dreams, I can't control them until I'm moved out of my home.

You have a deep fear of things in your life you cannot control.
The tornadoes represent situations out of control going on around you. You may or may not be a participant in the stuations, but you recognize that they are out of control and up to no good. By being able to handle yourself during these situations, it means you are able to keep yourself at best out of other people's problems. Especially those involving your family.
The missiles and plane crashes have a lot to do with more things out of control, but now they are directed towards you. Because you are able to stay out of other people's problems, they resent you and try to focus personal attacks against you. Sometimes you take a hit, sometimes pieces of your personality take a hit. The 2 kids covered in blood from the plane crash are representative of pieces of your personality that were affected by someone's hurtful words or actions against you. Because this happens to you a lot, you have developed a way of coping and staying out of the way when people's problems hit too close to home. But your subconcious still is trying to deal with the 'why' people feel the need to try to involve you in their personal problems.
It's hard to keep your head up, but keep trying. One thing you can do is give yourself a shield from the missiles in the form of positive affirmations about yourself. You must be a good person. At night, at bedtime, reconfirm to yourself that you are a good person and review the good things you did that day. You will find in your dreams weapons and armor to protect you as you develop the armor to protect your soul in your waking life.

The twin tornado represents two sudden, unpredictable, life-changing, chaotic events. Whatever it was, it changed your life forever and there is no going back. If you want to find out more about tornados in a dream, check out my profile and some of my other answers. It will help explain the tornados in your dream a little more.
Your dreams about plane crashes and missles tend to be same as your tornado dreams. Again, it points to unpredictable, sudden, life-changing events that you can't control or stop.
These dreams are reoccuring because you must have a lot of unstablity in your life right now. Your life is constantly changing and it's like you don't even know who you are anymore. The missles coming at you is your guilty conscieous. You feel somehow responsible for these events. Either that are you are being attacked somehow in real life.
Without more details about your personal life, I would guess that you have a lot of instablity and stress in your life right now. You feel as if your whole world is crashing down around you and you feel at fault for some reason. You seen some of your family in the dream and they were ok, part for some reason they were victims of this "chaos" in your dream.
Find out what is or isn't working in your life and get rid of it by dealing with it. Move on and but the past behind you. Whatever is causing you this instablity and constant chages in your life, you need to let it go and stop it. Otherwise, you'll end up lost forever and there will be no coming back later.

Simply, that you can't let life's little disasters rule your life. Things go wrong but you'll get through it.
I think the dream with your mom has probably got to do with parents not always listening to their children or not believing them.
But it's also linked to your missile dream, where there is an impending disaster and a sense of hopelessness.
The missile is usually aimed at a target. And it's always very destructive. You either black out or you think it's funny. Both show you can't deal with it and you're trying to avoid it.
If you don't mind me saying so, your missile dreams are very intense. Are you possibly suffering from Post Traumatic Stress? Have you witnessed or were you exposed to some life-threathening event?
Over exposure to violence in the news, movies or games also has a way of filtering through to the dreamscape. So, it could just be your mind saying "woa".

First of all, you are the only one who can really figure out what your dream means since they are subjective and mean different thngs to different people. For instance, dreaming of a big dog can be bad for some and good for others. One thing that is clear, though is that you definately have some sort of insecurity issues that almost certainly stemmed from an unstable environment during childhood. More than likely your parents worked a lot or weren't there for you when you felt vulnerable and kids being extremly impressionable, you still remember the days when you were a child and feeling neglected. Also, your mention of a group that you are a member of with a leader goes right back to your childhood since that is how kids hang out and play, so it seems very clear to me that the key to finding the meaning of your reoccuring dream is to start back at your childhood. As far as her changing age after you tackled her, you didn't mean to hurt her but were afraid you had, so your mind made her more vulnerable to you by making her a girl. We always tend to exaggerate our feelings and concerns in dreams. I hope this helps! If you do finally figure out these unresolved issues and do resolve them in your mind, you'll likely stop having them.

Most dreams contain messages that serve to teach us something about ourselves. Unfortunately many a times we forget what we dream about as we go about our daily routine. With recurring dreams, the message may be so important and/or powerful that it just will not go away. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. The dream is trying desperately to tell you something. Such dreams are often nightmarish or frightening in their content, which also helps you to take notice and pay attention to them.
Recurring dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation or a problem that keeps coming back again and again. These dreams may recur daily, once a week, or once a month, but whatever the frequency, there is little variation in the dream content itself. It usually points to a personal weakness, fear, or your inability to cope with something in your life - past or present.
The repetitive patterns in your dream can reveal some of the most valuable information on yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in your waking life that remains unresolved or unsettled. Or some urgent underlying message in your unconscious is demanding to be understood.
Following are some tips in overcoming your recurring dreams.
1. In understanding your recurring dream, you must be willing to accept some sort of change or undergo a transformation.
2. You must be willing to look within yourself and confront whatever you may find no matter how difficult it my be.
3. You must be able to look at the dream from an objective point of view. Try to get pass the emotional and reactive elements of the dream and get down to the symbolic images. Many times dreams are masked by elements that are disturbing preventing you to delve any deeper. This is a defense mechanism that your unconscious may be putting up.
4. Be patient. Do not get discourage if these dreams still recur even after you thought you have come to understand them.
5. Learn to accept yourself truly and fully.
Often times, once you discover what your recurring dream is trying to tell you, these dreams will change or altogether disappear.

it could be something you saw as a child that caused you to have all these dreams. i use to have a recurring dream when i was 2 of my one stuffed animal and it would always attack me but it went away when i was 6. and then this summer on discovery i kept watching shark week and for like a month i kept having dreams of me and my family being by sharks but never being attacked and then i had a dream that i was staring through the eyes of the shark and i was attacking a young woman. i really don't think it's something to fret over though. if it scares you though you may want to tell a phsycologoist or something. just a tip! good luck

You have fear that you will never be in a meaningful relationship. You also feel trapped that you are currently in a dead end career or have fear of being stuck in one. You fear not being able to achieve. Fear of mediocracy. The inability to release these feelings in a constructive manner causes the sub-conscious mind, in REM sleep, to create scenarios that mimic these feelings. Another words, there is a incompatibility that exist between the conscious and sub-conscious.
