Just a general questions. What do YOU do when you feel like you just want to scream.
Sometimes I just feel like I want to quit my job, give a children to there dad ( not really), and move away where no body knows me.
I know that this is a tempory feeling.....But damn, I just want to throw my hands up and say.." I can't do this anymore, I give up".

So.....What do you do?

Everyone's got their own style, but I think one common factor is just to find a way to get off on your own for a while; a couple hours or a half-day or something. Just do something that you enjoy, while the kids get Dad's undivided attention at the zoo or something. You're not alone - I suspect that most of us try to finagle some sort of mental-health break now and again. Ten-to-one your husband gets that too, so you might want to cut a deal where you each trade off. It's also real helpful to have someone you can blow off steam to, who will be sympathetic and a good listener - someone in your family or a good friend or whatever. Hang in there - I figure that kids push you right to the edge time and again, but never quite over. Maybe when they need your attention, you could drop whatever relatively unimportant (ha! easy for me to say, right?) thing you're doing and play with them or read to them or cut out pictures and make collages with them, or go to the park and catch grasshoppers with them, or something else that will help you and them both. Also, why should you have all the fun? Make sure your husband is also sharing the joys of cleaning up, laundry and dishwashing, etc. He'll thank you for it, no doubt with tears of gratitude in his eyes. Also, also, if the kids are old enough, maybe a grand-parents' weekend for them and you can throw your husband over your shoulder and carry him off to the bedroom or a nice hotel for a well-deserved anti-tension treatment or three. If all else fails, go ahead and scream, but not where the kids can hear you and get scared.

I know everyone has this feeling once in awhile, but if its happening alot then maybe you should sit down and figure out whats making you unhappy. Then try and fix it. Are you unhappy with your job? Or where you live? Or did you not end up doing what you thought you would? If so, maybe consider changing careers. Or going back to school for a bit and take some classes you always wanted to. Or take up a hobby that you've always been interested in! Sometimes the smallest thing can change everything!

> you just want to scream
I scream. Startled the heck out of the patrons at the library, I can tell you that.

> want to quit my job
I take a few days off. If I get fired, well, I wanted to quit anyway.

> move away where nobody knows me
Haven't tried that yet. Don't see what good it'd do me, because I'd meet people wherever I went.

I've been there! It sucks! I usually pray when I'm feeling like that. I ask God for strength to get through whatever, and I always feel better after that! Best wishes!

Take a deep breath and realize it WILL get better...I also often feel more clear headed and relaxed after I go for a run.
