The Bible says that when you see them depart from the truth, you know they were never believers to begin with (1 John 2).
So that's his big problem.
Anyway the Bible says Jesus is your Pastor, if you are really saved, so this shouldn't matter to you.

That's funny. Archeology is more evident in Christ and the Bible. Evolution cannot say the same. Fossils can be used against their case. Macro is probably the biggest myth ever theorized. A man has the capability to invent anything, while an ape can't. His mind is more free to things of this earth, while the ape is limited. A man can learn. An ape has to be taught. Hell, we teach sign language to monkeys. Why can't they do this on their own? And to actually SEE the evidence of Biblical times, simply GO TO A MUSEUM. How do you explain the Rosetta stone? Or Hammurabi (Who was around the same time as Abraham) code of Laws? How do you explain the locations? Evolution has no such thing. No sort of community or even housing. Why is it that when you compare the two, Christ stands out like a sore thumb?

I wouldn't have anything to do with him. I would try to think about when he started changing. Discover what he did. I would also question what I heard him teach, and examine how what he taught influenced me.
I would also remember that :
2 Thessalonians 2
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a FALLING AWAY first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
If you are still inclined to believe, then the Spirit of God is with you. Your pastor, if what you are saying is true, is an apostate. God will deal with him.

Brother.. you serve and love the Lord.. not man. Men will utterly fail and become vain in their reasonings .. many will fall away from the faith and make up all kinds of logical reasons to support their views. Yet if you have personally received the Lord then it is He who deserves your faithfulness. In that day the Lord will not ask your pastor to answer for you, you do that on your own.
We are definately in the last and closing days dear one. Look away from all things, persons, situations and matters and turn your eyes back to Jesus.. WHO IS GOD and the author and perfector of your faith. May the Lord look upon you and find you faithful inspite of all the odds. This man that you call pastor got lost somewhere along the way and maybe we should pray for him that the Lord will find and rescue him from the enemy's lies.
Keep abiding in Him faithfully
your sister

Find a Bible believing church and a real man of God. Anyone who would deny Christ, was never saved, wolf in sheep's clothing.
By the way, the Roman historian Tacitus spoke of Jesus, so the idea that there is no evidence outside the Scriptures to attest to Christ's existence is flat wrong.

Well... yep... he's right. The Gospels are complete fiction.
"There is not a single contemporary historical mention of Jesus, not by Romans or by Jews, not by believers or by unbelievers, not during his entire lifetime. This does not disprove his existence, but it certainly casts great doubt on the historicity of a man who was supposedly widely known to have made a great impact on the world. Someone should have noticed." ~ Dan Barker
"The Gospel story, with its figure of Jesus of Nazareth, cannot be found before the Gospels. In Christian writings earlier than Mark, including almost all of the New Testament epistles, as well as in many writings from the second century, the object of Christian faith is never spoken of as a human man who had recently lived, taught, performed miracles, suffered and died at the hands of human authorities, or rose from a tomb outside Jerusalem. There is no sign in the epistles of Mary or Joseph, Judas or John the Baptist, no birth story, teaching or appointment of apostles by Jesus, no mention of holy places or sites of Jesus’ career, not even the hill of Calvary or the empty tomb. This silence is so pervasive and so perplexing that attempted explanations for it have proven inadequate." ~ Earl Doherty, The Jesus Puzzle

You know that your Pastor may have been what you thought was holy but not the real deal. The Bible says that there are wheat and tares and they will grow up together and we will not know the difference because they know all the words, act holy, etc. But on judgement day, their name will not be written in the Lamb's Book of Life and Jesus will say, "I never knew you". I am sorry - go get a Pastor that sticks to the Word and holds it as holy and true. Praying for you.

What do you do when you see people go study your religion and then lose faith? You recognize there might be something to the arguments that persuaded them, and if you are interested in truth rather than simply belief, you check into it yourself.

This is what is called faith. Although it is true that there is no foresenic evidence to support the fact that Jesus Christ did live, if you believe and trust in Him then for you he did exist to save your soul.
I firmly believe that Jesus Christ lived and died on the cross to save us all. That is not to say that there is evidence to support that.
History is loaded with instances where we know something is true and yet there is not evidence to support it's existence. The Bible and Jesus Christ is but one example.

It's sad to say, but yes, Josephus is a sham. And I honestly don't know how anyone can believe the Noah story literally. You can still use the bible as a guide to lead a good life if you feel the need for such a crutch, but the reality is that you don't need religion to be a decent human being.
