In the mean time, I have met someone I would really like to build a relationship with. Should I still go out with the first guy since it has been planned and then just do see him again?

Sure you should. Date them both for a while and see where it progresses. As long as you aren't lying to either one and acting as you are exclusive what's the problem? You may find out that #2 is a jerk and the handsome guy is the one you want for a relationship.

Date them both! If you just met the second guy "in the mean time", that means that you have only met him in the past couple of weeks. How can you possibly be committed in such short amount of time? Go out with both of them and see which one you like better. Who knows, you may meet someone even better "in the mean time". :)

definitely not. Don't string the second guy along if you know it's not going to work out.
