person #2 uses alcohol for the same reasons
person #3 uses illegal drugs for the same reasons.

my best friend uses prescription drugs to cope. her family puts her down for it at the same time they are chugging beers and mixing bloody marys all day.

First off, unwinding and relaxing shouldn't come from chemicals. I do understand the question though.

I think I'd have to go with person #2 just for legal reasons. If person #3 gets caught with illegal drugs or person #1 gets caught using prescription drugs illegally, they're gonna face jailtime. Alcohol is legal and over the counter so if you had to use one, alcohol would get my vote.

And to the girl who answered before me, Alcohol CAN be highly addictive.

I personally thing that natural products like alcohol and drugs are 'less wrong' than strong manufactured medication. Alcohol is more a problem than drugs because it is cheaper, widely available and more commonly used. I thing too that they are all addictive.

In the Netherlands, where I live, cocaine and marijuana are being used on prescription by psychiatric patients. I'm fine with that as long as it's temporally. And used by people with chronic pain, homegrown. (legal up to 5 plants, which is not enough for some.)

Alcohol can be bought at the age of 16, which I think is to early. And there is no control over how much anyone may use in one day.

None are right ... i dont really classify weed in illegal drugs u might... they are all wrong ive actually done all three and trust me u dont want to be in any of those situations... u think it helps but it really doesnt it just pushed things aside and u dont have to deal with it until u eventually explode... personally id rather do all three when im happy not when im trying to deal with things because it makes the high/drunkness more fun ... when u use to it deal with evceryday stress thats when u can get additcied and quick... addicted to the escape .. addicted to the nothing matters mentallity ... once u get tehre believe me its hard to come back... ive had my fair share of run ins with all of them ... yes they were fun but once it starts to take over ur gonna have a very serious problem tryin to come back.. no matter how many people and how many times u are told not to do it the choice is ultimatley up to u thats life .. making decisions and learning from them ....

I would say person #2 because drugs are physically addicting, even prescription, and alcohol is not.
