Two years ago, I sold my 1997 Ford Escort. It had 147,500 miles on it. The person I sold it to drove it for another 18,000 miles and a little more than another year, before she was in an accident and totaled it.

Got a 89 ranger that had 190k miles when I sold it (new owner says it has 250k , never worked on the motor).. newer 03 f-150 got almost 48k miles on it...
most I've seen so far on a focus was 175k miles.. car was still runnign on original motor.
But I see Fords all the time with 300k miles on it... Know of a truck in my town.. the odometer won't even read the right mileage (he has 500k on it) as for some reason those years Ford didn't think they'd go over 400k or something (It's a 95 f-250 with a PSOM for those Ford techs out there)

I see about 10 to 15 of them a week the worst thing about a 2000 focus is that it wears tires badly.

Actually never seen a Focus die, as long as it was well maintained. Had a few come in with major engine trouble, and every one was due to poor or no maintenance at all. We actually had one in for a rod knock at 62,000 miles. Come to find out, it had the original oil filter on it. The idiot had never changed the oil. That's a tough little engine, to last that long....
and the owner was mad that his extended service plan wouldn't cover it!!??!!

Millions of people. 114,000 miles isn't a big deal for newer vehicles anymore. Our 2000 F250 at work has well over 120,000 miles on it and runs like new.
