As people apparently don't feel like checking the other question, the problem would be that "you" wouldn't still be you if you were suddenly purified, couldn't experience pain or suffering, and could interact with others without ever having any conflict.

Are you saying that you exist only when you are suffering? I hope that's not the case....
More likely, in heaven the suffering in time is made into eternal happiness. The pain we have here will be part of the joy we have there.

I read the other question, and this is my take on it. We actually were created to have this perfect relationship with Christ, with no suffering, or sin. We brought sin and suffering on ourselves, through no fault of God's. This life that we are living really is not the true us- when we die and see Jesus face to face we will be exactly who we are supposed to be. This is a temporary me, waiting for the real me to come through. Glad that I have an eternity so I actually can see what God intended me to be.

Personality is changeless in the presence of change. Attitudes may change, the life may change, mind may change, knowledge may change, and it is because of all this change that personality lives on even to eternity... and you will still be you. If there was no change, then growth would not happen and you would cease to exist. Everything would.

If you go to heaven, you will still have experienced suffering. It will still have made you who you are. We will remember our experiences.

Who says there is no conflict in heaven? I guess you never heard of the war in heaven.

No. You cannot stop being. None of us can. That's why God has a heaven and hell. He has to sort out those beings who believe in him from those who don't believe in him. We all exist for eternity.

You will stop living here on Earth... but you will continue to have an eternal life in heaven. As opposed to eternal torture in hell.

Hope this helps!
