I was on the Sovereign in April it was my second time, very nice ship for a older one, I love RCCL, we always have a great time, we will be on our 8th cruise with them next month on the Majesty of the Seas, can't wait, you should have a great time, very clean and the staff are great

I hate to disagree but found the ship a run down mess. We cruised Aug 10th so my info was pretty fresh. Our rooms, we had 4, either had sewer or A/C issues. The rooms are tiny, barely longer than a twin bed. The bathroom is so small you can actually sit on the toilet, brush your teeth and wash your feet at the same time ( no we didn't try it lol) I have been on 6 cruises this year , all with Carnival, this was my first and last RCCL

The area around the pool was cramped and smelled like musty carpeting. The one bank of main elevators constantly busy. The food was basic, nothing to have a wow moment over. Tipping was average but felt like asking for additional towels was an inconvenience

Disembarkation was like a "bums rush" They want that ship empty by 8a

Hope this helps. Sorry it was so negative but I really felt for what the Cruise cost above what Carnivals does the price difference defiantly wasn't not worth it
