Why do so many women want to know when they will get their spouse's check?

Payday is the 1st and 15th every month, unless you choose to only get paid once a month (like I did).

It usually takes 6-8 weeks. Remeber that the first check has $250 taken from it due to the advance he received to buy his uniforms. If you find yourself in any kind of financial difficulties because the first check takes so long, make sure to go to you nearest base's Family Support Center. They can contact your creditors and let them know your situation and also offer you a no-interest loan until his check comes in.

When my husband went to Basic, I couldn't pay the rent on time since his check took so long. I wasn't working because we had a 9 month old. So the only income we had was my husband's. Family Support contacted my apartment complex and told them what was going on and they let me pay my rent when his check came and I didn't have to pay any late fees.

Take Care and welcome to the military!

When my husband went to bootcamp, his first two pay checks were spent on uniforms and other necessary items at the exchange that he was required to purchase. So the first pay check he actually recieved wasnt until a few weeks later. They get paid on the first and the fifteenth, so which ever comes first.

How many days til the 1st or 15th? Those are the days you are paid. I joined up on the 12th of a month and got a paycheck on the 15th. It doesnt matter when you join or when you get out. You get pro rated for time in when the next pay period comes up and pro rated time between two pay periods when you get out
